Sci Fi Retro Computer Terminal

CSYNC proudly Introduces the Ordinateur - Orbital Series! With capacity to record to 6 Datatapes simultaneously, the Orbital Series can accurately calculate a successful* intercept to any large body within the Sol system in under 9 hours!
//
I originally concepted and built this as a part of some modular assets for a sci-fi, retro-futuristic game some friends and I are working on. Having spent most of my time viewing these assets in Unity with real-time lighting, I went on a bit of a detour and rendered this in Redshift.
//
*Successful intercepts charted by the Orbital Series have a 4% chance of failure. CSYNC will not be held responsible for death or injuries occurring from the use of an Orbital Series charted course.

Got a bit carried away and ended up animating the Data tapes, Lights and screens etc. Also had a bit of fun making a soundscape which I like to think contributes to the vibe.

I'd previously made a low-res animation of Titan orbiting Saturn to be used as a temporary loading screen. I combined it with some simple UI elements - referenced 2001: A Space Odyssey quite a bit here.

Code here was just 2 images of DOS grabbed from Wikipedia and animated/chopped up. Bonus flashing squares for extra spice.
